Red Level Tryouts announced

BOYS RED LEVEL TRYOUTS REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR SPRING 2021 season

Boys Red Level Tryouts for the Spring 2021 Season will be held on Sunday, October 4th at the Lakewood High School Turf Field located at 9700 W. 8th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215.  All registered participants are required to attend.  Current US Lacrosse membership is required.

If you can't attend the tryouts, communication must be made to the club.  Registration is still required if you wish to be considered for a Red Level team.

Red Level Team Tryouts are for players who want to compete at the highest level for the Spring 2021 season in the age groups of 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade.  Rocky Mountain Storm Lacrosse Club places all players from these age groups in one of three divisions for all levels of competition.  The Red Level is the most competitive level, the White Level is the intermediate competition level, and the Blue Level is the recreational competition level.  There are player evaluations for White and Blue Level Players from these age groups in January/February of 2020.  Younger players in the K-1st Grade/U7, 2nd Grade/U8, and 3rd Grade/U9 age groups are placed on teams based on random selection, coaches referrals, requests, and number of teams and are not included in tryouts.

Red Level Tryout Times will be:

  • 1:00pm–2:30pm for 5th Grade and 7th Grade
  • 2:45pm–4:15pm for 4th Grade and 6th Grade
  • 4:30pm-6:00pm for 8th Grade

Full equipment is required for all player tryouts including legal stick, helmet, gloves, arm guards, shoulder pads, cup, and mouthguard.  Rib pads and cleats are also recommended.  Goalies should also bring goalie stick, gloves, chest protector, and throat guard.

Tryouts may be rescheduled due to bad weather if necessary.

*All 8th graders are eligible to play for Storm, regardless of birth date.

9th graders are not eligible.
