Team registrations are now being accepted for our 19th annual tournament scheduled for June 7th– 9th at venues throughout Westminster, Maryland. Lax Max is an open level youth tournament for travel level recreation, club and school teams. We offer separate boys and girls competitions for the dual year groupings of 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 (no high school players in this division), 15/16 (U17) and 17/18 (U19). We offer AA, A, A/B, B, BC & C competition levels where ever registration permits.
A player's age group participation is determined by their age as of Sept. 1stin the 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14 age levels, with the age determination of Jan. 1st for all older age groupings. A team’s age group placement is determined by the age of their oldest player
All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three *(40 minute) games in preliminary round robin competition, with single elimination play-offs and championship provided where applicable. The first and second place teams in all divisions receive awards.
The team registration fee for Tyker (Ages 7/8) playing 7v7 is $325.00; Tyker age level teams playing 10v10 and all older age groups are $390.00. There is an organization discount of $25.00 per team when registering five or more teams at the same time. The registration fee does not include referees; referee fees are paid on the field prior to each game; a list of referee fees by age is located on the front page of the laxmax.com web site.
There is a roster maximum of 18 players for regulation size teams and 14 players for 7v7 tyker teams which corresponds with the number of awards and T-shirts which will be distributed to each team. Please note, rosters are not limited, so teams which bring additional players over the maximum roster number, can purchase additional tournament shirts at the event.
All teams must first register using the tournament application and later submit the roster waiver forms (ONE FORM PER TEAM) so it arrives ten days prior to the event.All forms are available for download at www.laxmax.com
Applications will only be accepted on a first come/first paid/first served basis.
No team will be scheduled until their registration form and fee have been received.
